Marangu Route

Marangu Route is also known as the “Coca Cola” or “tourist” route. It is the easiest and shortest route to the summit. This is also the only route with the comforts of sleeping huts at every camp site with solar lights and comfortable beds. The huts are communal, and the huts have a sponge mattress, pillow and solar power. There are 60 beds at both Mandara and Kibo Huts and 120 beds at Horombo Hut. Bathrooms and running water are available at the two lower huts, but at Kibo hut running water is not available because it’s dry camp.All climbing groups, often from several countries around the world, share meals in dining huts providing a jovial and energetic atmosphere.This route is usually done in 5 days but can be done in 6 days for better acclimatization. The extra day can be spent resting at Horombo or conduct nature walk to Zebra rock.

Machame Route

The Machame route, also known as the Whiskey route, is one of the most scenic routes and the most popular route nowadays. This route is more used than other routes, but more strenuous and involves camping at basic campsites throughout the trek. The start of this route involves a gradual climb through the rain forest, from 1,800 to 3,000 meters. The summit attempt is a long day, involving about 6 – 8 hours walking, most of it during the night.

Lemosho Route

Lemosho route is the most dramatic and beautiful route up to Kilimanjaro. It is the most remote and getting popularity now days which traverse some of Kilimanjaro most striking and least traveled landscapes, including the base of Kibo Peak’s and dramatic south-facing glaciers. This route has added benefits of trekking across the Shira Plateau a World Heritage Site trekking 180 degrees around Kilimanjaro and also this route allowed plenty of time to acclimatize to the high altitude and this is the key to your safety, comfort, enjoyment and success while trekking mountain Kilimanjaro. Lemosho route can be climb for 6 days, 7 days and 8 days, we strongly recommend 8 Days Kilimanjaro Climb – Lemosho Route for more time of acclimatization and get use to the altitude before summit.

Rongai Route

Rongai route located eastern side of the mountain and it begins just south of the Kenya-Tanzania border through farmland and forest to several other climate zones, adding interest to the trek. There are magnificent views over the Kenyan Plains and genuine possibilities for wildlife viewing. This route normally takes 6 days or 7 days depend with your time and budget, but all option guaranteed success summit.
Rongai 6 days climb is the quick summit via the Eastern side of the mountain, I this schedule you will skip one camp compare to 7 days where there is no camp which will be skipped.

Shira Route

Shira route is a little used trail that begins near Shira Ridge. It is nearly identical to the Lemosho route. In fact, Shira was the original route and Lemosho is the improved variation. Although Shira is a varied and beautiful route, it is less favorable than its successor due to the relatively high altitude of Shira’s starting point, which is accessed quickly by vehicle. It is possible that climbers will experience some altitude related symptoms on the first day while camping at 11,800 feet.
The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the west, beginning with a long drive from Moshi to Shira Ridge. The vehicle bypasses the rain forest zone and the hiking trail begins on Shira Ridge. The Shira route crosses the entire Shira Plateau from west to east in a pleasant, relatively flat hike. Then the route traverses underneath Kilimanjaro’s Southern Ice Field on a path known as the Southern Circuit before summiting from Barafu. Descent is made via the Mweka route.
